Wow! Thanks for the comments everyone, I too would like to add a few words.

I am a Catholic. Just to make it clear that it *is* possible for a Christian to tolerate the oh so scary concept of gay marriage (rolling my eyes).

Christians *don't* own the institution of marriage under the law. But they *do* pass propositions in order to claim it, like Prop 8.

Jack makes a great point, who's my God to say what you should do, if you don't follow my God? It's all a big game of who's God is bigger and stronger, as Jack captured it so well, haha.

You're basing your argument on the assumption that there are more than one God. There is only one and He made it clear that people of the same sex can't be together, it's an abominable act. Look it up in the old testament. You can disagree all you want but it's there in black and white. Not everything in this world is okay. Stop thinking that way.

I just feel if God is a forgiven God. He will forgive you for your sins. I don't think it is right for the Government to tell a person he or she can not marry someone they love. People have their own to deal with. Why would we care what the next person feel might be right. Love and Live and God will handle the rest. I am not the one to tell another person what is morally right or wrong. Then government shouldn't be that way either.

Bible I Corinthians 6 : 9 - Surely you know that the wicked will not possess God's Kingdom. Do not fool yourselves; people who are immoral or who worship idols or are adulterers or homosexual perverts or who steal or are greedy or are drunkards or who slander others or are thieves - none of these will possess God's Kingdom.

a muslim cursing, how lovely and unexpected. Islam is the new religion in town. All it's done is brought trouble into this world. There is only one G-d which i assume the muslims call allah and the christians also believe in Him except they're confused with this whole trinity blah blah blah.

Dear Zoe,
Please get a Bible with a decent translation. If it has the word "homosexual" in it it is very mistranslated. Do your homework before you condemn people.
And second, get your talons out of that hole. God gave you a brain. He loves you and wants you to use it.
